Precision Metal Stamping & Forming Services

Esco Precision produces stamped and formed sheet-metal components — blanked, pierced, coined, and bent — from short prototype runs to high-volume progressive-die production.

Stamping shapes flat stock into finished parts using dies in a press. For higher volumes, progressive dies advance a strip through several stations — blanking, piercing, forming, and coining — so a complete part exits with every stroke, delivering excellent repeatability and low piece-price at volume. For lower volumes and prototypes, we use short-run tooling and forming to prove out a design before committing to hard tooling.

We stamp and form a wide range of sheet gauges in steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, copper, and spring materials, holding tight feature-to-feature tolerances and consistent bend geometry. Secondary operations — tapping, hardware insertion, deburring, and finishing such as plating or powder coat — are integrated so parts ship complete.

Design-for-manufacturability review is part of every stamping quote: we advise on bend radii, material selection, tab and slot placement, and nesting to reduce scrap and tooling cost. Tolerances are held to the print and verified with first-article and in-process inspection under our ISO 9001:2015 system.

What is progressive-die stamping?

A progressive die moves a metal strip through a series of stations — blanking, piercing, forming, coining — with a finished part produced at every press stroke. It delivers high repeatability and low piece-price, which makes it ideal for higher-volume parts.

Can you handle low-volume or prototype stamping?

Yes. For prototypes and lower volumes we use short-run tooling and forming so you can validate a design before investing in a hard progressive die. We then scale the tooling strategy as volume grows.

What sheet materials and thicknesses can you stamp?

We stamp steel, stainless, aluminum, brass, copper, and spring materials across a wide range of gauges. Send your part and annual volume and we will recommend the material and tooling approach on the quote.

Do you provide secondary operations on stamped parts?

Yes — tapping, hardware and PEM insertion, deburring, and finishing such as plating or powder coat are integrated into the routing so parts arrive complete and inspected.
