Plastic Injection Molding Services

Esco Precision provides custom plastic injection molding — from tool design and build through repeatable production molding of tight-tolerance parts in commodity and engineering resins.

Injection molding forces molten thermoplastic into a precision steel or aluminum mold, producing identical parts at high repeatability and low piece-price once tooling is in place. We manage the entire program: design-for-molding review, mold design and build, sampling and first-article approval, and validated production, so you deal with a single accountable supplier.

Design-for-manufacturability is critical to good molded parts. Our engineering review addresses uniform wall thickness, draft, rib and boss proportions, gate location, and shrink compensation before steel is cut — decisions that determine part quality, cycle time, and cost. We tune process parameters and verify dimensions against the print under our ISO 9001:2015 system.

We mold commodity resins such as ABS, polypropylene, and polycarbonate as well as engineering-grade materials including nylon, PEEK, acetal, and glass-filled compounds, with options for colorants, flame-retardant grades, and inserts. Insert molding and over-molding are available for parts that combine plastic with metal components.

Molded parts frequently integrate with our machining, stamping, and kitting operations, letting Esco deliver finished assemblies rather than loose components. Tooling can be built for prototype bridge production or full multi-cavity high-volume manufacturing depending on your program.

Frequently asked questions

Do you build the injection mold as well as run production?

Yes. We manage the full program — design-for-molding review, mold design and build, sampling and first-article approval, and validated production — so a single supplier is accountable for both the tool and the parts.

What resins can you mold?

Commodity resins such as ABS, polypropylene, and polycarbonate, plus engineering grades including nylon, acetal, PEEK, and glass-filled compounds. We also mold TPE/TPU for over-molded parts and support insert molding with metal components.

Can you do insert molding and over-molding?

Yes. Insert molding encapsulates metal components (threaded inserts, pins, terminals) in the molded part, and over-molding bonds a second material — such as a soft-touch grip — onto a substrate.

How do you control molded-part quality?

Design-for-manufacturability review addresses wall thickness, draft, and gating before the tool is cut; then we tune process parameters, run first-article inspection, and verify dimensions against your print under our ISO 9001:2015 system.
